Start with the signal that travels
Weekly outcomes are noisy. Usage, early-down efficiency, and the quality of a player’s opportunity are often more useful starting points than one standout box score.
Then add the game environment
Opponent tendencies, injuries, and likely game script determine whether that signal is strengthened or weakened. The right answer can still be uncertain; transparent context matters more than a manufactured certainty.
